Analytics, plans and limits
Read Breakly analytics, export counted orders to CSV, check checkout prices per market, compare plans, and see what happens past your order limit.
How Breakly counts orders#
Breakly counts an order when its own discount applied to the order at checkout. Discount codes, manual discounts and other apps' discounts don't count, even on products in your offers. The counted orders on the Analytics page are exactly the orders your plan counts.
- Breakly records orders as Shopify reports them.
- Check orders again on the Analytics page adds any discounted orders Breakly missed. See Check orders again.
- Months are calendar months in UTC. An order belongs to the month it was created in.
- Amounts are in your store currency.
Home: this month#
The This month section on Home shows:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Orders with a quantity break | This month's counted orders, with your plan and how many orders it includes. |
| Sales from those orders | The order totals of counted orders, and Discounts given. |
| Average order value | The average counted order, compared with orders without a quantity break. |
The Offers section shows how many offers are active, with links to Manage offers, See counted orders and Check prices.
The Analytics page#
Pick a month in Month to see its numbers.
Summary#
| Number | What it is |
|---|---|
| Discounted orders | Orders where the Breakly discount applied. |
| Sales from them | The totals of those orders. |
| Discounts given | What Breakly's discount took off those orders. |
| Share of all orders | Discounted orders as a percentage of all the month's orders. |
Below the summary, Average order value compares orders with a quantity break and orders without one.
By offer and tier#
This table shows each offer, then each of its tiers, with Orders, Items, Discounts given and Sales. Sales are what shoppers paid for these items after all discounts. An order with two tiers of one offer counts once for the offer.
When an order doesn't tell which tier applied, the tier shows as "Tier unknown". Offers you deleted show as "Deleted offer".
Last 30 days#
A bar chart shows the discounted orders of each of the last 30 days. Point at a bar to see that day's orders and sales.
Counted orders#
The list shows the latest 250 counted orders of the month, with Order, Date, Offer, Order total and Breakly discount. Select an order name to open it in Shopify. To get more than 250 orders, export the CSV.
Check orders again#
Check orders again reads the month's orders from Shopify and adds discounted orders missing from Breakly. Counted orders don't change. You can run it as often as you like.
- Shopify only shares the last 60 days of orders. For older months, the button doesn't show.
- A large month can take more than one run. When Breakly says "There are more orders to check", select Continue.
- If Breakly shows Breakly can't read orders yet, Shopify still has to approve Breakly's access to order data. Your offers keep working.
Export counted orders to CSV#
- Open Analytics and pick the Month.
- Select Export CSV.
Breakly downloads breakly-orders-YYYY-MM.csv with every counted order of that month, one row per order. The button is off when the month has no counted orders.
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Order | The order name, such as #1001. |
| Created (UTC) | Date and time in UTC. |
| Offers | The offers that discounted the order. |
| Tiers | Each offer and tier, such as "Socks: Buy 3". |
| Units | The discounted items. |
| Order total | The order total in your store currency. |
| Breakly discount | What Breakly's discount took off. |
| Currency | Your store currency code. |
| Order link | A link to the order in your Shopify admin. |
The file is UTF-8, so Excel shows accents and other characters correctly.
Price check#
Price check shows what checkout charges for each tier of a product. Nothing in your store changes on this page.
- Open Price check. Breakly starts with a product that has an offer.
- Select Choose product or Choose another product to pick another one.
- If the product has variants, pick one in Variant.
Breakly names the offer that applies, with a link to it. If no offer applies, it shows No offer applies to this product.
Each table has the columns Quantity in cart, Price each, Total and Shopper saves, one row per tier.
- The first table is your store currency. It lists the markets that have the same prices.
- Breakly adds one table for each other market currency, up to 12.
- Amount off, fixed price and fixed total tiers in other currencies show "≈", because Shopify converts them at checkout with its exchange rate.
- Prices don't include taxes, shipping or other discounts. Subscriptions and B2B customers get the regular price when the offer excludes them.
- The tables show the offer as it runs. They don't apply its schedule or countries.
If Breakly can't read your markets, it shows Only your store currency is shown.
Plans#
Every plan includes every feature. Plans differ only in how many discounted orders they include each month.
| Plan | Price | Discounted orders included |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Up to 100 a month |
| Growth | $9.99 a month | Up to 1,000 a month |
| Pro | $19.99 a month | Unlimited |
All plans include unlimited offers and tiers, all layouts and design settings, mix and match and variant pickers, exact checkout prices in every currency, and analytics with the list of counted orders.
Change your plan#
- Open Plan in Breakly. Your plan shows your plan and how many discounted orders you used this month.
- Select Upgrade or Switch on the plan you want.
- Confirm the plan on Shopify's page.
Shopify bills the plan on your Shopify invoice. You can change or cancel your plan at any time.
When a store reaches its limit#
Breakly never switches off your offers or its discount because of your plan.
During the month:
- When you pass 80% of your plan's orders, Home shows You're close to your plan limit.
- When you go over, Home shows You went over your plan this month.
- Your offers, the widget and the checkout discount keep running for the rest of the month, also past the limit.
In the next month:
- If the previous month went over your current plan's limit, editing offers is paused. The offer editor shows Editing is paused on your current plan, and you can't save changes or create offers.
- Your active offers keep working at checkout and on your store.
- Editing comes back when you move to a plan that includes the previous month's orders, or when a new month starts and the previous month is within your plan.
For example, a Free store with 140 discounted orders in March keeps all offers running through March. In April, its offers keep running, but editing is paused until it moves to Growth or Pro. In May, editing comes back if April stayed within 100 orders.
